A soft gingerbread cake looks festive and it is a great way to impressive any guests with minimal effort. This is thanks to the wonderful Christmas cake moulds that are available. At the bottom of this recipe we have listed our three favourites!
Ingredients
3 eggs
3dl sugar
2tsp ground cloves
2tsp cinnamon
1tsp ground cardamom
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
1tsp baking powder
3dl flour
1dl melted butter
1.5dl natural yogurt
Heat oven to 175° fan and line the tin with butter spray (or melted butter). Beat the eggs and sugar. Mix the spices, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and flour together. Slowly add the flour mix into the egg mixture. Add the melted butter and yogurt. Pour into the tin. Place the tin on the middle shelf of the oven and let the cake bake for 45mins.
