Fancy getting some new inspiration for your wardrobe? Look no further!
We’ve been keeping our eyes peeled and have some top inspiration from Sweden’s biggest fashion event; Stockholm Fashion Week. A culmination of renowned Swedish designers, Stockholm fashion week is a twice-yearly event showcasing the upcoming collections in multiple fashion shows across three days.
Some of our favourites were Hope, Busnel and House of Dagmar, highlighting the best of Scandinavian design for catwalk and street style.
Hope: A design house that is all about the minimal – Hope brings staple, simple pieces to the forefront. Their collections highlight relaxed fit, calming colours and a belief that well-being should be in balance with every-day style. The seamless link between their male and female ranges is truly inspiring, and their engagement in every process is clear through the timeless pieces.
Busnel: Busnel is renowned in Scandinavian for their focus on simple lines and clean everyday wearable style. Designing from as early as the 1920’s, the design house was founded by Monsieur and Madame Busnel. Although the brand is originally French, Scandinavia has always been the leading market – and still is today! We love the simple layering of textures while keeping the colours neutral.
House of Dagmar: Founded by three sisters, House of Dagmar puts an emphasis on unconventional style, finding inspiration from art, dance and motion pictures. Their newest collection includes ‘Masculine inspired outerwear, traditional shirtings, ribbed tops and dresses, suitings all with a feminine twist and expressive details.’ We love the take on femininity with a masculine edge – adding an extra punch to our 2017 wardrobes!
The style didn’t stop at the catwalk either – Stockholm is well known for its street style and GQ magazine were out and about taking shots of the best dressed from the pavements! See more and get inspired here.
