July is upon us, and for our rug edit this month, we’re thinking about sitting outside and enjoying the (sometimes unreliable!) sun’s rays. In Sweden, easy access to nature is a must whether residing in the country or city. Balconies, terraces and patios are integral to Swedish houses and apartments as they enable that much loved connection with the outdoors direct from home.

‘The balcony is a very important element. Almost all apartments and houses have balconies, terraces or decks. Even the smallest ones have one. It’s a way of connecting the inhabitants with everything that’s surrounding them and a way of opening up the home to the exterior.’  Simona Ganea – homeedit.com

Inspired by these Swedish slices of nature at home, we’ve compiled a hot list of products from Skandihome to make sure you make the most of your home’s outside spaces (no matter how small!).
