Day-dreaming about the perfect Summer day…

With the first few signs of Spring now visible here in London, I found myself day-dreaming about the perfect Summer days spent at my grand-mother’s as a child…It was a small wooden cabin surrounded by the most perfect garden where potatoes, carrots, strawberries and raspberries were growing. Our days there were a mixture of helping get the crops ready, playing crocket and running around in the garden pretending my sister and I were Olympic gymnasts! Our favourite time of the day was ‘FIKA’ with Grandma’s home-made cinnamon buns and elderflower squash, or her signature pancakes and home-made raspberry jam, simply out of this world!
I hope to re-create that same atmosphere one day…
